1) The queen of spades; sometimes called just Maria.
2) The ace of spades, particularly when associated
with the game of high spade in the hole.
3) A high spade in the hole.
4) Also in home games, seven-card stud in which the pot is
split between the holder of the high hand and the player
who has the queen of spades in the hole.
