Early Bet poker
The first bet in a stud game, often set artificially low, that
is, lower than the normal betting limits for the game, and often
a forced bet, one made by, for example, in seven-card stud,
the lowest face-up card showing. In a $2-$4 game, the lowest
face-up card on the first round (at the point that two face-down
cards and one face-up card have been dealt) might be required
to make a 50-cent early bet. Sometimes called bring-in bet.
