Hammer (poker)
Last position to bet in a particular hand; sometimes the person
to put the last bet in; usually preceded by the. "You got
the hammer" probably means "I'll check to you"
(implying, "Since you made a large bet before the draw
you will probably make one after so I will check and let you
hang yourself").
