Player's Bank
poker
A fund on deposit by a player with the management of a card
room, from which he can withdraw cash to play on, or to which
he can add his winnings, and which he can, of course, clear
out at any time. This is a convenient means for a player to
get around the difficulty of carrying large amounts of cash
on his person. The player's bank is usually kept track of on
a ledger card with transactions initialled by the player or
a house official or both. The cashier is usually responsible
for keeping the records straight.
