In a no-limit game, a minimal bet made into a large pot by
the holder of a marginal hand in the hopes that the bet won't
be raised and the bettor will either win the pot because no
better hand is out, or that he will get to see the best hand
"for free" because the holder of a slightly better
hand is afraid to raise. Also, protection bet.
