Progressive Poker Dictionary poker
A form of draw poker found mainly in home games in which the
opener must have at least a pair of jacks to open, and be prepared
to show openers before the pot is out of play; if no one opens,
players ante again, sometimes the next dealer deals, and the
minimum opening requirements increase to queens, and so on if
no one again opens. Sometimes the opening requirements after
passed pots stop at aces; sometimes they continue to increase
(to two pair, and so on). Pots can grow quite large from just
the antes.
