Sponsor poker
1) Someone buying you a drink or meal. If someone offers you
a drink at the table, when you call the cocktail waitress, you
can say, "Bring me a drink; I've got a sponsor." 2)
Someone who puts up a player's buy-in, usually to a tournament,
in exchange for a portion of the profits, if any. 3) Pay someone's
buy-in to a game or entry to a tournament, in exchange for a
portion of the profits, if any.
