Spread Limit poker
Poker in which the betting limits are somewhere between single
limit and no limit. Bets have a range, from a minimum to a maximum.
For example, in $2-$5 seven-card stud, a player can bet at any
time either $2, $3, $4, or $5. If 50-cent chips or coins are
used, a player can sometimes also bet $2.50, $3.50, and so on.
As in no-limit games, a raise must always at least equal the
previous bet or raise (unless the player making the raise is
going all in, in which case the interpretation varies from club
to club). That is, if one player bets $2 and the next player
raises $3, any other player to come into the pot who wishes
to raise must raise at least $3; a $2 raise is not permitted
at this point. Also called modified limit.
