Verbal Bet (poker)
A wager made by announcing the size of the bet but without
actually putting any chips or money in the pot. In some (not
all) establishments, oral declarations made in turn are binding;
nonetheless, cautious players wait till the chips are actually
in the pot before either calling the bet or showing their hands.
